Why am I having difficulty receiving traffic updates on my NAVIGON unit?
While the NAVIGON 7100, NAVIGON 5100, and NAVIGON 2100 all have built-in TMC receivers for traffic data, only the NAVIGON 7100 and NAVIGON 5100 ship with lifetime traffic activated. The NAVIGON 2100 requires the purchase of a special “Navigon Traffic Activation Service” accessory pack to receive updates for the lifetime of the product. NAVIGON 2100 customers must register and activate this accessory through navigon.com.Consumers traveling outside major metro areas with the NAVIGON 7100 and NAVIGON 5100 should connect the in-box external FM antenna accessory (wire with a suction cup) to the TMC jack. This will enhance the signal pulled by the built-in receiver, and minimize any disruption in traffic service.
